Product Marketing - Publishing & Ecommerce

Hello! My name is Imelda Vergara, prounced e-mail-dah vur-gah-rah. I've been a product marketing specialist at Tribune Publishing since 2014. I design, develop and implement marketing campaigns that help win readers loyalty back. I'm really good at my job but I'll admit that it took me a few years to find my groove. 

Before landing a job in the historic Los Angeles Times building, I was a social media manager at Color Image Apparel and before then I had copywriting stints at GUESS and bebe. Working in fashion ecommerce gave me a skill set I could have learned nowhere else. It shaped me into a gladiator and initiated my ninja training. It also allowed me to work with so many amazing people, some of which I'm still happy to call my friends. 

Fun facts:

• For a short period of time I played music critic and photographer in Texas at the San Antonio Current and
• Travel is my middle name, not literally 
• Reading, biking and swimming are some of my favorite things to do when I'm not on a show binge
